LIXIL Southeast Asia

Background
LIXIL wanted to expand sales of its Japanese building and residential products across Southeast Asia.
Then COVID happened.
Travel stopped, communication between Japan and regional offices became difficult, and the traditional way of supporting overseas sales suddenly was not much of an option.
Challenge
Build a website capable of supporting regional sales and generating enquiries, using a very limited pool of existing copy, photography and video. New shoots were not possible.
The site also needed to work for affluent Southeast Asian consumers browsing predominantly on mobile devices.
What I did
I led UX/UI design while also acting as the main point of contact across LIXIL’s sales, product and IT teams.
Research into browsing behaviour led to a mobile-first approach. I designed the wireframes and prototypes, introduced persistent conversion points, created the UI and motion direction, and worked closely with developers on the Figma-to-Zeplin handoff.
With limited content available, every existing image, video and piece of copy had to earn its place.
Outcome
Within the first month of launch, supported by Facebook advertising, the site generated 34,000 page views and around 16,000 sessions.
More importantly, it generated six product enquiries within its first two weeks, establishing a functioning digital foundation for LIXIL’s Southeast Asian sales efforts.
