NTT DATA Luweave

Rebuilding a brand without rebuilding the system underneath it.

Rebuilding a brand without rebuilding the system underneath it.

Background

Following organisational and naming changes, NTT DATA Luweave needed to rethink both its corporate identity and online presence.

There was one fairly substantial catch: the existing corporate website and its underlying systems could not simply be replaced.

Challenge

The website was dated, the corporate template offered limited design freedom, and security restrictions ruled out migration to mainstream CMS platforms.

The brand needed to change while much of the machinery underneath it had to stay exactly where it was.

What I did

Through a brand workshop, we redefined the company’s CI/VI around its future direction.

I then translated that thinking into the website, working within the existing template and technical restrictions rather than designing something that could not realistically be implemented.

Outcome

The refreshed identity and website gave NTT DATA Luweave a more coherent, forward-looking presence while working within its existing infrastructure.

Sometimes good design is not about removing constraints. It is about making the constraints disappear from the experience.
