英語を話せても、自分の子どもに教えるとなると話は別。英語の先生探しを通して、教材や価格よりも「子どもが楽しんで続けられるか」を大切にしたいと感じました。学びに必要なのも、立派な環境より、自然に興味を持ち、試してみたくなる日常なのかもしれません。

Speaking English does not automatically make someone a good English teacher, especially when the student is your own child. Looking for lessons made me think less about expensive materials and more about motivation, trust, and whether learning feels enjoyable enough to continue. Perhaps the best learning environment is not a perfect study room, but a home where curiosity is easy to follow.

語学は、現地で暮らし始めて初めて「勉強」から「生活の道具」に変わります。完璧になるまで待つより、準備をしたうえで実際にその言葉で暮らしてみること。失敗や人との出会いを通して身につくものは、教科書だけでは学べません。

Language changes completely when it becomes part of everyday survival rather than something studied from a distance. Living abroad teaches you not only how to communicate, but how to navigate people, uncertainty and discomfort. You may never feel fully ready, but much of the real learning only begins once you arrive.
